About Me
Andreas Wagner – The Man Who Runs. Always. Everywhere. In Any Weather.

If you’ve ever typed “Should I run today?” into a search bar, you’re not alone. I’ve asked myself that question more times than I can count—usually while standing at the window, watching horizontal rain slam into the glass, wondering what on earth I’m doing.
But the answer is usually the same: Yes. Run. Now.
Hi, I’m Andreas Wagner, and I live by the beautiful Lake Neusiedl in Austria—a place of calm waters, endless sky, and, quite often, ridiculous wind. And I run here. Every day. No matter the season, no matter the forecast, and quite honestly, no matter how little I feel like it.
Born to Run (Even When I Really Don’t Want To)
I’ve always loved running—or at least the version of love that includes complaining, procrastinating, and still doing it anyway. As a kid, I ran because I couldn’t sit still. As an adult, I run because I can’t stand still. There’s something about moving forward, one stubborn step at a time, that helps life make sense.
And now? With every passing year, running gets harder. The knees creak, the lungs protest, and let’s not even talk about cold winter mornings. But I keep going. Not because I always want to—but because I’ve learned that the days you run despite everything are the ones that matter most.
This Website Was Born on One of “Those Days”
You know the kind: grey sky, zero motivation, and a hundred excuses lined up like ducks in a row. I searched online for inspiration—something to light a spark. A quote, a tip, a reminder that I’m not alone out there in the drizzle. And what did I find?
A lot of technical jargon. Race strategies. Heart rate zones. Elitist talk.
But almost nothing that said:
“Hey. It’s okay to struggle. Here’s how to keep going anyway.”
So, I built it myself. This website is for people like me—and maybe like you.
For runners who aren’t chasing medals but chasing meaning.
For those who don’t need a training plan, but a reason.
For those who sometimes hate running, but love how it makes them feel afterwards.
Running Through the Seasons – and the Storms

Around Lake Neusiedl, running is never boring. Summer brings tourists and sunshine. Autumn turns the air crisp and the trails golden. Winter? That’s when things get interesting. Wind that cuts like a knife. Snow that soaks your socks. And yet, I run. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes just enough to say: I showed up today.
And believe me—there are days when I drag myself out the door like a reluctant toddler. But I’ve never come back from a run thinking, I wish I hadn’t gone. Not once.
Final Thoughts from a Stubborn Austrian Runner
This site, like my running, isn’t perfect. It’s messy, honest, and full of heart. Here you’ll find motivation, tips, stories, and tools to help you keep running—whether you’re flying or crawling.
Because sometimes, running is freedom.
Sometimes it’s therapy.
And sometimes it’s just pure, wonderful madness.
So… should you run today?
I don’t know. But if you do—I’ll be out there too. Fighting the wind. Loving the silence.
Running, always.
